SPRING MAKEUP TREND ALERT!!

Candy Apple

Red lipstick is classic, of course, but never have makeup artists been so united on the shade front as they were this season. The color to know: Snow White apple red—as true as it gets. The finish—satin, like at Dolce & Gabbana; patent lacquer, at Nina Ricci; or stay-in-place-all-night matte, at DKNY— is fair game, so long as the lipstick is applied with utter precision.

EXFOLIATING WITH BAKING SODA!!

EXFOLIATING WITH BAKING SODA!!

Baking soda is my personal favorite. I exfoliate my face with baking soda daily. I keep a container in my shower and rub about a tablespoon of it on my face in a circular motion, rinse, then wash my face with this liquid natural soap. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is the main ingredient in many expensive exfoliation products. Be sure to use a natural baking soda like this one. Find out more about the quality of your baking soda here. I also use baking soda in my toothpaste, deodorant, and no poo haircare.

DIY Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
for dry, frizzy hair!!

ingredients (double up for long hair):

2 tablespoons natural yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 tsp coconut oil for thin hair, 1/2 tsp coconut oil for thicker hair (see how your hair soaks in the oil – mine can only take a drop!)

directions:

if your coconut oil is hard, go ahead and melt it down
combine all of the ingredients together
work the mask onto your hair, from the scalp to the ends
give your scalp a good massage – you want the mask to cover your scalp
leave the mask on for 15 -20 minutes
wash as normal, if you use conditioner, just a small amount on the ends will do.
do this treatment once a week to restore and maintain your hair.
